Raid Guide Information
General Raid Information
*Anyone wishing to raid should come prepared...
(1) Come prepared with FLASKS, POTIONS, and FOOD.
This also means having enough of these items to sustain yourself through the entire raid.
If you need Flasks, Potions, or Food, please get these items prior to raid start time. Most of the time there will be someone online in the guild who can make these items for you. Just ask nicely! ;)
(2) Be FULLY REPAIRED before we begin.
Please make sure that you repair immediately prior to the beginning of a raid. It is important to the success of the raid that everyone be at their highest potential and having damaged gear will improve your performance. Please don't assume that somone will have a repair bot once you arrive, please take care of this one you own time before you arrive.
(3) Be on time.
Raid times are set for a reason. If a raid is scheduled to begin at 1900 (7:00pm) server time, then the goal is to have everyone online with all invites out at 1900.
** If you MUST be late PLEASE notify the raid leader. Failure to notify the raid leader could result in losing your spot in the raid (even if you are only a few minutes late).
(4) Have a good attitude.
It can be easy to let real life issues affect your gaming experience. WoW is about having fun, and so we ask that while you are raiding that you allow yourself to temporarily forget about any outside drama (whether it be real life or game related) and just have fun. Please don't yell or make rude remarks to other members of the raid. If you have an issue, please talk to the raid leader and let them resolve the issue. Extremely negative attitudes, picking fights, being rude, or other similarly destructive behavior is grounds for removal from a raid group.

Patchwork Math Problem
Let's look at an early raid DPS race encounter: Patchwerk
In 10 he has 4,320,000 HP and a 6 minute enrage timer.
In 25 he has 13,000,000 HP and a 6 minute enrage timer.
10 Man
(4320000/6minutes) / 60secs = 12000 minimum raid dps
So with the usual 2 tanks, 3 healers, and 5 dps.
A minimum average of 1714.29 DPS per person dealing damage to Patchwerk
12000/7ppl = 1714.29
Now hopefully your tanks are doing at least 1k dps each so that would ramp up the DPSer's need for 2k minimum
25 Man
13,000,000hp/6min / 60sec = 36111.11 minimum raid dps
so with only 3 healers on the two tanks and 22 ppl doing damage a minimum of 1641.42 DPS per person is needed
Hopefully your tanks are doing 1k DPS each so you'd need the 20 others doing 1705.56 dps minimum each
Thaddius is the biggest DPS race in Naxx 30,400,000 hit points in 25man 3,850,000 hit points in 10 man also on a 6 minute enrage timer
but as in the Loatheb fight there is a gimmick to increasing DPS
